Hi,
I keep getting this error and there is no way of resolving it in 2022 it seems. I've tried to do what you laid out here, but I already have a Schedule C going and the 1099-NEC is in fact linked there. I've been through this process three times and nothing is working. It's for one 1099-NEC out of half a dozen; the others are fine, and I can't understand why this one is giving me problems. There is no information missing. I even tried adding it as a new business and it didn't work.
You are not required to report your 1099-NEC in detail on your tax return in TurboTax. To resolve this error you should delete the 1099-NEC entry and add the income directly to your Schedule C. To do this in TurboTax Online you can follow these steps:

A lawsuit settlement that does not include payment for back wages should be reported as other income.
You may have to delete the entry and start over. You are able to remove the form by:
Follow the steps below to report the IRS form 1099-NEC as other income.
The entry will be reported:
View the entries at Tax Tools / Print Center / Print, save or preview this year's return / Include government and TurboTax worksheets.
