Form 1099-R is not the same as a W-2.
Form 1099-R reports retirement income and TurboTax will ask about that income later, but it should not be entered in the same place as W-2s
Question:
My spouse retired this past year. She recieved 1099 R a SSA 1099
Do I upload these under W-2 or under other income 1099?
In TurboTax Online, under Wages & Income, an IRS W-2 is entered under Job (W-2).
An IRS form 1099-R is entered under IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R).
A SSA-1099 is entered under Social Security (SSA-1099-, RRB-1099).
