If you are worried about an offset, then you could file an extension of your return and that would give you until October 16th to complete your return. So, the theory would be for you to get your account up to date and then they hopefully will update everything on their end after May and remove any offset.
Of course, there really is no way to guarantee that if an offset has been put through for your return, that it will be removed in a timely manner once your program ends and they update their records. But, an extension would hopefully give you the time necessary.
You can file an extension at any time up to April 18th this year by going to the site below or accessing it through your TurboTax account. However, the extension program isn't open yet - it will be ready soon - probably within two weeks.
