In order to avoid the tax, you would have had to roll it over within 60 days. If you did so, you will have questions in the interview process that lead you to show the rollover.

Will TurboTax help us if we received a CA FTB notice they propose to assess add'l tax/penalties on our 2021 State return because Schedule CA had an incorrect amount?
