I legally changed my name, and updated my social security. But I got my W-2 form from work before I updated my name with them. Can I still use my form and file my taxes?

I legally changed my name with the state, and went done to the local social security office to update my name and request a new social security card. While I was waiting for my new card in the mail, which I need to update my name with the company, my W-2 form
came from my job instead.
Can I still file even if the employee name is not updated?

Yes you can still file even if the employer used the old name.  Use the name that matches your current Social Security card----your SSN is still the same---right?  The IRS cares about your SSN.

My SSN should still be the same
