I know the qualified retirement account is a 401K plan but is it asking how much money was deducted from my paychecks to go into the retirement plan?

Where?  You only enter 401K contributions from your W2 box 12.  Nowhere else.  Did you take a distribution?  Or is this on a state return?

I figured it out. My brain was being slow and not understanding what it was asking.
