I have entered 1099R for myself--how change to enter 1099R for wife

To switch the Form 1099-R from your name to you wife's name, please follow the steps below:

1. Open TurboTax

2. Select Federal Taxes at the top

3. Next select Wages & Income and select I'll choose what I work on

4. Scroll down to Retirement Plans & Social Security

5. Select Start/Update next to IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)

6. Next select Edit next to the Form 1099 that you wish to change.

7. You will see a screen pop up that says 'Verify the owner of This 1099-R"

8. Check your wife's name and this will remove your name.and select continue to complete the tax return.
