If you did not withdraw your Traditional IRA (cash it in or Roll it over), you will not get form 1099-R Distributions From
Pensions, Annuities,
Retirement or
Profit-Sharing
Plans, IRAs,

Contracts, etc.
If you get form 5498, you do not need to enter anything. Keep it with your records for future reference when you need to determine the end of year value or your investment basis in non-deductible or Roth IRAs.
