I had a job for a short time in 2019 and they held money for a 401k and when i quit they gave it to me. under 100$. can i still file a 1040EZ

For Tax Year 2018 and later, you will no longer use Form 1040-EZ, but instead use the Form 1040.  If you want to know if you can use TurboTax Free,  the answer is no, you will have to use Basic or higher.

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY?  I WANT THE FREE EDITION

The information that you can enter in Free Edition is pretty limited now.  Thanks to the new tax laws that began for 2018 returns, there are no more simple Form 1040EZ or 1040A's.  Everything goes on a Form 1040 that has three extra "schedules" with it, and if you need any of those schedules, you are not able to use the Free Edition.  Using the standard deduction instead of itemizing does NOT mean you will not need any of those schedules.

If the Form 1099-R has code 1 in box 7, you cannot use the Free Edition of TurboTax because the Free Edition does not support the reporting of the early-distribution penalty required to be included on your tax return.
