I am trying to delete a deduction on my credits portion of my taxes but it won’t delete it. I need help. The deduction is if I made any contributions to an IRA.

Form 8880 reports Retirement Savers Credit and is generated automatically by TurboTax if you have made any contributions to a retirement plan, which is reported on your W-2. I am not sure how you are trying to delete the form, but the best way to do it is by following the directions below. If these directions don't work, let me know so that I can assist you further. 

First go to your Deductions and Credits, select Retirement and Investments. From there, choose the Retirement Savings Contribution Credit.  In this section you should be sure nothing is calculating this credit.

Next, go ahead and follow the next procedure to delete this form:

1.  Go to Tax Tools (on bottom left-hand side of screen)

2.  Select Tools (expanded box will appear in the middle of your screen)

3.  Choose Delete a Form

4.  Find Form 8880 and select to Delete. 

5.  As a step to be sure the form has been deleted, run through step 4 once more to be sure that the form was deleted as well as any related worksheets.
