You appear to be using the Live Self-Employed Edition.  Is that the edition you wanted?   If you are a sole proprietor, independent contractor, etc., you can use that edition to prepare a Schedule C with expenses.  Or if you are a single-member LLC that elects to file using Schedule C.  Or if you own a farm and need Schedule F.

However, the Live component makes it quite a bit more expensive.   With the Live feature you are paying extra in order have help from a CPA/EA tax professional at any time during return preparation and a final review of your return prior to filing.

Live Self-Employed is currently $200 for a Federal return and $55 for a state return.    If you choose to pay the fees out of a Federal refund, there is an additional $40 service fee ($45 for California filers.)

If you don't want that feature, then see this to remove it and go to regular Self-Employed Edition:

Regular Self-Employed Edition (without Live) is $120 for a Federal return and $50 for a state return.

If you are not self-employed and don't need Schedule C with expenses or Schedule F (farm income and expenses),  we can tell you how to downgrade to a lower edition.
