I am filing jointly with my spouse and I found that TurboTax always lists only $6000 even though I have checked both me and my spouse for traditional IRA contributions. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Could you clarify where TurboTax is listing the $6,000? Is it on a tax form, or is it inside the interview, like on the Deductions & Credits screen?
It is the interview. It asks both me and my spouse's IRA contributions and ends up with only $6000 when interview screen finishes.
In that IRA interview, there are a number of questions:
1. Is the IRA contribution a repayment of a retirement distribution?
2. Was any of the IRA contribution transferred to a Roth IRA?
3. Did you have any excess IRA contributions before 2022?
4. Did you make any nondeductible IRA contributions?
The four questions above are asked for each taxpayer separately.
Then at the end of the subinterview, "Your IRA Deduction Summary" should show $12,000.
Is this where you say that it shows $6,000?
Yeah, exactly.
@BillM223 this is where that shows $6,000. Do you know how to fix it? Thanks.
Yes, it shows up perfect in TurboTax. Follow these instructions:
