How to determine the "Taxable Social Security benefits in 2021" and 2022 if you recevied a lump sum in 2023?

Screenshot 2024-01-17 at 15-12-34 TurboTax DIY 2023.pngCan someone please tell me what I need to fill out in "Taxable Social Security Benefits in 2022".  I did not receive Social Security until this year so I did not pay social security for 2021 or 2022.  I received a lump sum for 2023 and it says *includes* amounts "Paid in 2023 for 2022" and amount "Paid in 2023 for 2021" on SSA-1099-SM. Thank You

If there is not a lump sum amount shown in box 3 on the SSA-1099 you received for tax year 2023 then you should not indicate that you received a lump sum payment.

thank you for your response but I did receive a lumpsum it says includes $X amount  Paid in 2023 for 2022 and $X Paid in 2023 for 2021.  That is why I was trying to figure out what to put for the last spot because I did not get a SSA 1099 in 2021 or 2022 because I did not get approved until 2023.  Thank You

Where it asks for Taxable Social Security benefits received in 2022 enter a 0.  The same for 2021.
