How do i take off the credit for a qualified retirement plan

I believe you're referring to the federal Retirement Savings Contribution Credit.  If that's the case, then, to remove your Retirement Savings Contribution Credit information in TurboTax Online:

  1. Open TurboTax Online
  2. Select Tax Home in the left pane
  3. On the  Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the Deductions & Credits box, then select StartContinue, or Pick up where you left off
  4. On the  Your tax breaks screen, scroll down and select the dropdown to the right of Retirement and Investments
  5. Select  Start or Revisit to the right of Retirement Savings Contribution Credit
  6. Enter all relevant information on the subsequent screens
  7. On the Tell us if [you] were a full-time student in 2023 screen, indicate Yes, then select Continue

Don't worry, you're not perjuring yourself by making this statement.  The IRS doesn't see this response -- it simply disqualifies you for the credit within the TurboTax program.

If this isn't the credit you're referring to, feel free to post back.
