Retirement tax questions
I believe you're referring to the federal Retirement Savings Contribution Credit. If that's the case, then, to remove your Retirement Savings Contribution Credit information in TurboTax Online:
- Open TurboTax Online
- Select Tax Home in the left pane
- On the Hi, let's keep working on your taxes! screen, select the dropdown on the right side of the Deductions & Credits box, then select Start, Continue, or Pick up where you left off
- On the Your tax breaks screen, scroll down and select the dropdown to the right of Retirement and Investments
- Select Start or Revisit to the right of Retirement Savings Contribution Credit
- Enter all relevant information on the subsequent screens
- On the Tell us if [you] were a full-time student in 2023 screen, indicate Yes, then select Continue
Don't worry, you're not perjuring yourself by making this statement. The IRS doesn't see this response -- it simply disqualifies you for the credit within the TurboTax program.
If this isn't the credit you're referring to, feel free to post back.
