You only get a SSA-1099 from Social Security. You have to enter your income from an actual 1099R or the SSA-1099. If you didn't get a 1099R ask them for another copy.

LOOK at the form ... the form number is on it ... but give you a hint ... the SSA-1099 is sent by Social Security not NY anything and it looks like this ... https://secure.ssa.gov/apps10/poms.nsf/lnx/0205002300
