All of us who would rather not navigate the paper version.
Why is it taking so long to get the form up and running on TurboTax when it's available on other sites? First TurboTax said 2/24 now this morning it shows 2/25.
Thanks Turbo Tax for all you do.
May I recommend that you increase your price even more???
@huamapu - Per the IRS site, the early release draft only date was February 11th, 2021. I just got onto the IRS site and even there I am still seeing conflicting information as to when the "finished/finalized" release date will be. The hope was for the 18th, then "expected" today, and I am not seeing a final announcement. TurboTax cannot provide it, of course, until the IRS releases it. I am guessing that is all you are waiting on. I wish I could tell you more but when the IRS is vague there isn't much else we can do but follow their lead as to updated expected dates.
IRS 8915-E Early Release DRAFT ONLY
😂🤣
🤣😂
The draft was released in Jan 2021, (website info only updated) on 02/11/2021 and the final version was released 02/12/2021. 2 weeks and still waiting. Turbo Tax (TT) was complicit in causing the IRS to delay the 2nd stimulus check to its users by 3 weeks by providing incorrect bank information to the IRS. Now the income requirements for the 3rd stimulus check are raising. Lots of us made less income in 2020 than we did in 2019. That is why it's imperative that we get our 2020 taxes filed ASAP so we get the 3rd Stimulus check. But do you think TT cares about its customers? If they did, they would of use the draft form in 01/21 to develop their program, made any changes needed when the final version came out on 02/12/2021 and then it would be available now! Also, their discounts for filing before 02/28/2021 are not changing. So cross your fingers that the form is available tomorrow and you get 3 days to get filed in order to get the discount! I know these LEVEL 15 HELPERS claim not to work for TT, but read a couple posts from them and make your own opinion.....
Form 8915-E: Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions and Repayments is used for COVID-related early pension distributions. Currently, only paper filed tax returns are available.
Forms availability states that e-filing of the form will be available February 25.
No it won't I checked and it says 8915e form isn't ready by the IRS, it gives you the option to put in covid related distribution
Do you know if there is a new e-fileable date for form 8915-E?

Form 8915-E, Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions and Repayments is scheduled to be available and e-file able in TurboTax on 02/25/2021
Go to this website for IRS forms availability in TurboTax - https://care-cdn.prodsupportsite.a.intuit.com/forms-availability/turbotax_fed_online_individual.html
I am still getting the message below when following the instructions to complete the 8915-e form
Unfortunately, IRS instructions related to disaster distributions weren't ready in time for us to include them in this release. Please revisit this area later. |
When asking for expert help I was told that this would not be e-fileable and "it" would have to be mailed... can you confirm? I will try again tomorrow
Thank you
