EIN or Federal ID on Social Security form?

There is not one on an SSA-1099

IF you are seeing that on the Software Form...then you are attempting to enter your SSA-1099 in the wrong form type..

Delete what you've entered on that 1099-R...delete that 1099-R.....and enter it on the Wages&Income page on the menu line for  Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099) . (When you go in there...do not select the RRB-1099)
