If you mean CalSTRS, it is a qualified defined benefit plan.
I have a 1099-R DBS Service Retirement Annuity for $345. How do I enter it so that it doesn't raise a problem on my California state tax form?
It is from CalSTRS for $345 but when I enter it on my California state tax return it raises a problem. How do I enter it properly?
It depends. Are you trying to enter this on your California return? You will just enter this on the federal side and it will automatically populate into your California return.
If this isn't your issue or solution, please clarify the problems you are having.
