Do I have to do anything - on my tax return - with a 1099-R received for my Roth IRA?

I have received a 1099-R on a Roth IRA for a small withdrawal? I thought withdrawals from Roth IRAs do not have any tax implications (I am over 60 and the account is older than 10 years). Do I still need to show this on my tax return? If so, where and how?

Yes, you do need to report the Form 1099-R for your Roth IRA distribution as part of your tax return.  Even if the distribution is not taxable, it will still be reported on your return on your Form 1040 line 4a.

The following TurboTax help article will give you guidance about where and how to enter your Form 1099-R.

Where do I enter my 1099-R?
