As heirs we received the Rocky Flats settlement. Would we treat this as non-taxable the same as our inheritance?

Yes - you would treat the settlement amount as non-taxable.

This treatment as non-taxable and non-reportable applies to any heirs.

This settlement is not for personal physical injuries, but for loss of property value.  Prior answers say that this would not be taxable, but I just want to confirm, giving that it would relate to an inheritance.
