Cannot enter or edit info under 1099. Needs review is highlighted, but will not proceed. Forced one entry via form workaround, with the same result, cannot edit.
I have PC desktop version Premier, updated. Was told by "help" to uninstall, repair & re-install. Result - no change in software, same glitches. There may be others, but I get stopped at entering income section.
Once taxes are filed, vacation starts. Would like to get going!

You didn't specify.

Folks with this issue for 1099-R forms in Desktop software fixed it by going to Forms Mode and deleting all existing 1099-R forms...then returning to the main interview to re-enter them
Don't know why this is happing for, what seems to be, a small subset of Desktop users...but it is.

Can also happen when trying to go in and enter data from SSA-1099 forms...Again...going into Forms Mode and deleting the SS Benefits Worksheet seemed to work for (most?-All?) everyone.
Thank you. So far, 1099R, 1099B.
Will try the 1099R work around. The one form I added was #5, the first 4 were to be updated from 2024. All 5 are blocked now, says needs review with no option to do so.
Following your direction, If i delete all via 5 forms and start over that is a step in the right direction. Thanks.
1099B option never comes up. May have to try and force those via forms as well.
Starting my evaluations of other tax return options. I understand they have a glitch or 2, but the lack of info is unprofessional. They need a banner with a daily, at least, update.
OF course, if you want to test it without affecting your current file...you could do a SAVE-AS to a different file name, and then do the deleting in that test file to see if it works.
And there is no 1099-B menu item Per-Se (Depending on which screen you look at)
There is a menu selection for Stock, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds Other...
....that gets you into the area where you enter your 1099-B/8949 sales/redemptions from a brokerage.
...........BUT...it dumps you into a screen showing various existing 1099-INT, -DIV...etc forms where you either select an existing empty form that carried over from last year
,....or go to the bottom of the screen to select a Blue Button to "Add Investments"
And many of us DESPISE the new interview flow/layout here.

A word of warning: If you attempt to Import any forms from a Brokerage/Bank etc....a strange popup will appear that asks if you want allow Intuit access to your device....if you say NO, ...then nothing actually imports into your taxes.....even if one of the responses indicates it was "Successful".
VERY helpful, thank you! Been dumped to that screen showing various existing 1099-INT, -DIV...etc forms and i just gave up. Did not make sense to me - based on how it worked before. Agree with your comment about the interview flow/layout 100%. Its not like we use this everyday, TT needs better focus groups, including current users! Thanks again.
