Military: Do I have to file state taxes just because I bought a home in Oklahoma where I’m stationed ? I have residency in a state that does not require you to file state taxes.

Purchasing a home would not by itself result in a change of your state of legal residence. That would be your home of record until you change it. As long as you are enlisted in the military, your home of record would remain your legal state of residence, unless you voluntarily changed it.
So the issue is would you need to file a non-resident tax return in Oklahoma? If you rented the house to someone else, you would need to file a Oklahoma non-resident tax return if you received over $1,000 in rental income during the year. Otherwise, you would not have to file an Oklahoma tax return, assuming you had no other income from Oklahoma sources.
