Husband and I are dual military, I don't have to file for state taxes but he does, why do i have to fill out his state on my return?

Turbo tax wont let me continue unless i fill out his state even though i dont need to file a tax return for my state

To clarify, are you filing Married Filing jointly or Married Filing Separately? If filing jointly, you would need to file a state return in your tax return even though you don't have a state filing requirement.

I live in the State of Washington but work in Idaho - I have downloaded IDaho and ready to efile my taxes - Why is Turbo Tax asking me to file a Washington return PLUS my Federal form and the Idaho State Tax this year?
