Filing my taxes trying to figure out what I need to file due to being a renter and losing all of my belongings my clothes etc. to hurricane Helen

You suffered from a hurricane and will file Form 4684 for your casualty loss. The IRS has a workbook to help you go through the items you lost and determine the value. See Publication 584, Casualty, Disaster, and Theft Loss Workbook (Personal-Use Property). See the FEMA website to search for specific disasters.
