I live in a state and work in a state that does not have state income tax. However, I have a home I rent out and need to report it as income in Louisiana.

In the Personal Info section of TT, indicate that you had Other State Income from Louisiana.  This will prompt the program to generate a non-resident Louisiana tax return.  Then enter your rental info on your federal return and the program will carry it over to the Louisiana return (and to your home state return).

Be sure to complete the Louisiana return before you do your home state return, so that your home state will credit you for the taxes paid to Louisiana.
