On F 3. of the Home Mortgage Worksheet, it asks for the beginning balance. Does this mean the principal on Jan. 1 of 2018?

It will not allow me to change that line... it puts a wrong nubmer there (the ending balance as it turns out) Not cool!

If this was a loan you took out in 2019, enter the amount of the loan on the day you took it out.
If you can't change the worksheet, delete the 1098 and reenter it.
