I need help figuring a cost basis

I ran through the math which is in comments below. I did it quickly so please check. Compaq share exchange http://h30261.www3.hp.com/faq/faq-about-compaq-share-exchange.aspx  just allocate all to HP.
In 2015 Split of HPQ and HPE  47.15% basis to HPQ and 52.85% basis to HPE http://h30261.www3.hp.com/faq/separation-faqs.aspx For your US basis per the forms above I calculated: 2015 split you have now 759 share of HPQ  with 47.15% of the basis or $27,593.24 or 36.35 a share;  and 759 shares of HPE with 52.85% of the basis or $30,929.01 or $40.75 a share.

It is all long term so just report date purchased as various, no need to report lots.

Total costs was: $58,522.25  all the $ amounts below added together.

1/30/98 600 shares 30.187 per share $18,112 $81.75
2/27/98 500 shares 34.50 per share $17,250 $101.75
1/28/99 500 shares 45.75 per share $22,875 $101.75

then that became 759 shares of HP and then 759 Shares of HPE and 759 HPQ
The values were 54% to HPE and 46% to HPQ or of the $58,522.25 above $31,738.71 is HPE and the remainder to $26,783.54 to HPQ.

so then 415 shares of HPQ is 55% (415/759) of $26,783.54 or $14,644.49

so then the 344 shares of HPQ is $12,139.05.

Those three amounts total the $58,522.25.
