For federal tax purposes, paying rent is not tax deductible, unfortunately, there is no data entry.  However, some states do allow renters credit. Please be sure to go through your state questions; if your state allows it, you'll be asked about rent paid. If you are asked about the rent you paid, simply input the information into the areas where it is asking for the data.

If you are living in a state that has deductible rent please let me know and I will assist you further on how to input that in.

I hope this information guides you in a positive direction. Best of luck!
