I have a rental property that I entered the tax & insurance info for and the same info also got entered with my mortgage in a different (not rental property) section. I think it's counted twice which is incorrect

Hello. Can you be a little more specific; not all "tax and insurance" are deductible. 

Did you rent your property for the ENTIRE YEAR? If so, than you would only enter expenses for the rental property. If you or family used the property during the year (Personal Use), then you would need to allocate prorated expenses between Sched E (for rental) and Sched A (Itemized Deductions).
