How do I get ST and LT capital gains reported on Schedule D?

If you are trying to report the information from your 1099-B. Here are the steps to help you get there.

1. Start from the main Tax home page
2. Click on Take me to my return
3. Click on the top right Search icon, and type in 1099b and enter
4. Select the Jump to 1099b and it will direct you to the page
5. Click on the bottom box Add a Sale to enter your 1099-B information
6. Scroll down to the bottom page and select "I'll typ it in myself"
7. Provide the necessary information from your 1099-B when going through the interview pages
8. Be sure to complete the process to save your work
