Hi Guys,
I just logged in to start on my taxes and saw that Turbotax now asking which product I want to use (personal and Business) and I noticed that I cannot do my small business on the personal and vice versa. There was no selection for the past 3 years and I was able to do both on the same account but now it's separated.
Can any one help me on what to do so I can do them both at the same time in one go instead of having to do it separately or am I missing something?
This is the 6th year since I used Turbotax online
Thank you,
Arnold

They changed the name of the TurboTax Online product, but it's still the same product. TurboTax Premium is what used to be called Self-Employed. You can use Premium to do your personal Form 1040 tax return including a sole proprietorship or single-member LLC business that is reported on Schedule C. TurboTax Premium is not the same as TurboTax Premier that was available in the past. Premier has been eliminated.
Yes you need the new Premium. It is replacing both the Premier and Self Employed versions. It can do your small business schedule C. Unless you need to file a separate Business return like a partnership or LLC, etc.

It's actually showing Premium but I don't see any for S Corp?
Sorry I'm using premium but not seeing any for S Corp
Do you need to prepare the 1120 S corp return? That has never been available for Online. You need Turbo Tax Business. It is not available to do online or on a Mac. And it will not do your personal 1040 return. You need 2 separate programs. Desktop Business and a personal version for your 1040 tax return. You can use online to do a personal return or buy any Desktop program.
You can buy the Window's version here…..

Or do you just need to enter the K-1 you got from the S Corp return? If you were using online to fill out a S corp return you were filling it on Schedule C which is very wrong.
