Can we claim a bathroom basement remodel?

we have exceeded our energy saving credit in 2009 when we upgraded the windows but is there another way to claim the expenses on our basement remodel.

No, remodeling or home improvements, maintenance, etc. on your own home are not deductible. Some improvements will add to your cost basis so save your records for someday when you sell the house.
