None of the factors for using "0" as the AGI apply to us. We have filed every year for years using TurboTax as "married filing jointly" and have never filed late. Should we use "0" anyway? For both of us or just her? Would having a VPN turned on my windows pc have anything to do with it? I don't see why it would but I'm not leaving anything out. Edit & Correction: I put 2025 AGI above but I'm filing a 2025 1040SR, therefore I submitted the 2024 AGI.

The only thing this effects is determining if you are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit. If this is not relevant to you, you do not need to amend.

Are you referring to the new $24,000 Wisconsin Retirement Income Subtraction? Or are you referring to something else? Please clarify.
If this is what you are referring to, you will have to amend your Wisconsin 2025 income tax return to claim the Subtraction.
If you used TurboTax Online, log in to your account and select Amend a return that was filed and accepted. See also this TurboTax Help.
Wisconsin website states:
Retirement Income Subtraction
Wisconsin has two potential subtractions for taxable distributions from qualified retirement plans and individual retirement accounts.
1) Up to $24,000 ($48,000 for certain joint filers) of qualified retirement income may be subtracted from Wisconsin income if you (or your spouse if married filing joint return) were age 67 or older on December 31, 2025. Taxpayers claiming this subtraction on their 2025 Wisconsin income tax return may not claim any Wisconsin income tax credit in computing their refund or balance due for the year.
In TurboTax, in the Wisconsin state income tax return, at the screen Wisconsin Retirement Income Subtraction (Credit Restricted), select Yes.

If your Tax Return was rejected due to missing IP PIN, it is because the IRS issued an Identity Protection PIN to you. In order to file electronically, you will need this PIN.
You should have received a letter from the IRS with the PIN included. If you didn't receive the letter, you can create an account on the IRS website (if you don't have one) to retrieve it. See the link below:
Get an identity protection PIN (IP PIN)
Then, follow the instructions on the link below to see how to fix the rejection: How do I fix e-file reject IND-181-01?

I think you are referring to the screen that says Do any of these uncommon situations apply? where there are six states listed that handle certain types of interest different that most. If you continue on to the next screen you will see where you can pick your state or states per the options "I earned tax exempt interest in only one state" and also "I earned tax exempt interest in more than one state." That is on the screen that says Tell us more about your tax-exempt interest. You can enter the interest by state there.

To automatically upload your business expenses to TurboTax, you can use the TurboTax Expense Monitor. Here’s how you can do it:
Connect Your Financial Accounts: Link your bank accounts and credit cards to TurboTax. This allows TurboTax to import your transactions directly.
Categorize Transactions: Once your transactions are imported, you can categorize them as business, personal, or split expenses.
Import to TurboTax: At tax time, you can import these categorized expenses into your TurboTax return.
You can get started with the TurboTax Expense Monitor here.
Important points:
You can use the TurboTax Expense Monitor at the end of the year to import your business expenses. However, it's designed to be most effective when used throughout the year.
By regularly connecting your financial accounts and categorizing transactions, you ensure that all expenses are accurately tracked and categorized, which can save you time and reduce errors at tax time1.
If you use it only at the end of the year, make sure to review and categorize all your transactions carefully before importing them into TurboTax.

If you would like to send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information it would help. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: (Don't forget to give us the state)
TurboTax Online:
Open your return -Go to the menu panel on the left side of your return and select Tax Tools.
Then select Tools below Tax Tools.
A window will pop up which says Tools Center.
On this screen, select Share my file with Agent.
You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is. Click okay through this screen and then you will get a Token number.
Reply to this thread with your Token number and your state. This will allow us to open a copy of your return without seeing any personal information.
TurboTax Desktop:
If you like, you can send a copy of your return that will be scrubbed to eliminate your personal data by using these steps:
Click on Online in the top left menu of TurboTax Desktop for Windows
Select 'Send Tax File to Agent'* > Follow the prompts to reach the token number.
Enter your email used for TurboTax > Enter your code > Send
Write down or send an image of your token number and state then place in this issue.
We can then review your exact scenario for a solution.
Please also tell us any states included in the return. This is necessary for us to view the return.
*If using a MAC, go to the menu at the top of the screen, select Help, then, 'Send Tax File to Agent')
We will be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return to provide you with a resolution.

Yes, as Mike9241 previously posted, Sections J, K, and L are provided for your information and are not used by the software. However, you may need this information to track your "outside" basis, which may be different from the basis reported by the investment on Schedule K-1.
Assuming you are entering Schedule K-1 (Form 1065) Box 20, the information from Code ZZ is left for the taxpayer to manually enter on appropriate tax forms (as needed), how you enter these codes/amounts will have no effect on your tax return. In most cases, you can omit Code ZZ (and amounts) entirely. TurboTax will not use entries you do make for Code ZZ.

No, you do not have to tell your HSA custodian that you are doing this. But you do need to document what you did in case anyone ever asks.
Earnings in the HSA become part of the tax-free distribution in the normal course of things - that is, you are paying for medical expenses not only with the contributions you have made but also with any earnings that have been added to the account.
This being the case, so long as you can document that you spent the entire distribution (return of excess contributions and earnings), you will be in a good position to argue that you lived up to the intent of the program. It's not exact (because withdrawals for reimbursements of prior expenses is normally done on a "normal" distribution, not a withdrawal of excess contributions), but the net effect on your taxes will be the same. You just need to document what you did and why.

Yes, she can still qualify as your dependent for 2025. The IRS allows a child to be a qualifying child if they were a full-time student for at least part of 5 months during the year and under age 24.
As long as she lived with you more than half the year and you provided over half of her support, you can claim her for 2025.
