You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large button labeled "Transmit my returns now".
After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

If you are talking about HSA contributions, then HSA contributions made through the employer (both employer contributions and employee contributions made by payroll deduction) are shown on the W-2 in box 2 with a code of W.
The "personal" HSA contributions - that is, contributions not made through the employer - do not appear on the W-2; the taxpayer is expected to track these contributions themselves. Of course, they should be visible in the online account for the HSA.

You will need to divide your earned income between the two Ohio school districts and then divide the remaining taxable income between the two school districts. Let's use an example to illustrate how to do this.
You lived in the Lancaster School district (an earned income district) through April 2025, before moving to the Canal Winchester School District (a traditional base school district) where you lived from May 2025 through the rest of 2025.
Your earned income was $60,000 from wages and you had $6000 of interest income. Since you spent 1/3 of the year in Lancaster, your earned income there would be $20,000 and you would have earned $2000 in interest income while living there (that would not be taxable for the Lancaster school district). You would then have $40,000 of wages and $4000 of interest that would have been earned in Canal Winchester.
In TurboTax, you will get to a screen titled Your school district taxes.
Click Edit for the school district that is the Earned Income school district first. Enter the dates you lived there in 2025. For this example, it would 01/01/2025 to 4/30/2025.
The next screen is Income for Earned Income Tax Base School District [SD #]. Here you would enter the wages and/or self employment income you earned while living in this school district. In this example, it would $20,000 for Lancaster
The next screen is Income for Earned Income Tax Base School District (SD #]. Enter the portion of your total income in this School District - for this example, it is $20,000 of wages + $2000 interest or $22,000
Click Continue on the School District Income Summary screen.
Next click Edit for the traditional income district. Click Continue, then enter the dates of residency in 2025. For this example, it would be 05/01/2025 to 12/31/2025. Click Continue
The next screen is Income for Traditional Base School District [SD #]. This screen will show you your Ohio Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI), which for my example is $64,100 ($66,000 total income minus $1900 exemption). To get the income for the traditional base school district, take the MAGI ($64,100) and subtract the income allocated to the other school district ($22,000 to Lancaster in this example) to get the traditional income base of $42,100
The School District Income Summary will show the amounts of traditional or earned income allocated to each school district.
The Ohio SD100 form will show the results of your school district taxes. If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can go to Forms by clicking on Forms on the blue banner at the right and looking for the Form SD100 under the Ohio Individual section. If you are using the online program for TurboTax, you will need to pay your TurboTax fees in step 1 before you are able to view your return. You will be prompted to check your return information over by downloading a copy of it. If you find any issues with it, you can go back and edit your return to correct those issues.

You generally cannot claim an additional $1,900 difference for your car donation. When you donate your vehicle and claim a value of more than $500, your tax deduction is generally limited to the gross proceeds from its sale by the charitable organization.
However, there is a rule that applies to your situation. If a charity sells a donated vehicle for $500 or less, your deduction is equal to the lesser of $500, or the vehicle's Fair Market Value (FMV). Since your vehicle's FMV was $2,400, you are allowed to take the $500 deduction.
You can only claim the full FMV if one of these exceptions applied:
The charity kept the car and used it regularly
The charity made major repairs to the car
The charity sold or gave the car to a needy individual at a significant discount price as part of their charitable purpose

You cannot use the TurboTax Free Edition if you have Form 1095-A for Marketplace insurance.
Receiving a 1095-A requires filing Form 8962 to reconcile premium tax credits, which is not supported in the Free Edition. You will be required to upgrade to at least the Deluxe version to report this information. You will be able to enter Social Security income there as well.
To upgrade your TurboTax Online product:
Make sure you're signed into TurboTax and have opened your return.
If you haven't already, complete the intro questions until the menu appears.
Select Upgrade from the menu (left side).
Select the Do it yourself or Real experts help or do it for you tabs to see your options.
See this help article for more information.
If you have followed all of the steps and are still having trouble, see this help article and this one for instructions on how to contact TurboTax customer support depending on which product you are using.
See this help article for instructions to enter Form 1095-A.
Roughly 37% of taxpayers are eligible for TurboTax Free Edition. Simple Form 1040 returns only (no schedules except for Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, Student Loan Interest, and Schedule 1-A).
See this help article for more information about upgrading from Free Edition.

Have you looked at your Form 1040 to see if the income is duplicated on your actual tax return? Farming income is reported on Schedule 1 Line 5, and includes Farm Rental Income.
To preview Form 1040, including Schedule 1, open your return and go to Tax Tools in the left column. Choose Tools then View Tax Summary. When that popup appears, choose Preview my 1040 in the left column. Scroll down to see Schedule 1.
If you have paid for TurboTax, you can preview all the forms in your return, including Schedule E, which is where Form 4835 and Schedule F are combined on Line 41. Follow the instructions here: Can I print a copy of my TurboTax Online return before I file it?
Sometimes the summary pages of TurboTax are not the same as the actual entries for the listed topics. It's also possible this is browser-related. Please log out of TurboTax Online, refresh your browser, and clear your cookies and cache. Then restart your browser and log into TurboTax again. Or try a different browser.

No. The duplicate return will create confusion and may delay a refund or raise questions about a fraudulent return.

Call IRS e-file Payment Services 24/7 at 1-888-353-4537 to inquire about your payment.
If you want to check the debit date you specified, look on the filing instructions for your return. It will tell you the debit date the IRS or State will deduct the payment. If you did not print them out you can view them using the following steps:
If you filed using TurboTax Online, the Electronic Filing Instructions page will give that info.
Here's how to view the PDF copy:
Sign in to TurboTax and open your return.
On the Tax Home screen, scroll to Your tax returns & documents and select Add a State (don't worry, you're not actually adding a state, this just gets you into the right area) to access your tax forms and worksheets.
In the menu, select Tax Tools, then Print Center.
On the TurboTax Print Center screen, select Print, save or preview this year’s return.
On the next TurboTax Print Center screen, select 2025 Federal return and Include government and TurboTax worksheets, then select View or print forms.
The information will be on the first page, Electronic Filing Instructions, for your 2025 Federal Tax Return, next to Balance Due/Refund.
TurboTax CD/Download
Go into Forms Mode by clicking on the Forms icon in the top right of the blue bar.
In the Forms in My Return list on the left, click Filing Inst. [It's usually toward the bottom of the list.] The form will appear on the right side of the screen.
You can view the form on the screen or you can print a copy by clicking the Print box at the bottom of the screen.
To return to the interview, click on the Step-By-Step icon in the top right of the blue bar.
The IRS/States is currently processing a high volume of e-filed returns, so it can take several days for your payments to go through. The IRS/States may debit the payment after the deadline. Also, it can take the banks another few days to post the debit to your account. As long as you filed you return or extension on or before April 15, 2026, and you selected April 15, 2026, or earlier as your payment date, you won't get penalized for late payment. If you don't see the debit in your bank account 7–10 days after their return has been accepted, call the IRS e-file Payment Services at 888-353-4537 or contact your state tax agency.
