While you and your spouse each contributed $3,600 to a Roth IRA, which is below the individual limit of $7,000 for 2025, the IRS reduces how much you can put into a Roth IRA if your Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) is too high.
For 2025, if you are Married Filing Jointly, your ability to contribute to a Roth IRA begins to phase out once your (MAGI) hits $236,000, and it disappears completely once it hits $246,000.
For more information, please check out this TurboTax Help Article: What if I made an excess Roth IRA contribution because my income is too high?

If you started your return in TurboTax Online, you can access that return from the desktop software, after installing it of course. Or you can start a new return and transfer in last year's if you prefer. After you get the software installed, you should see the Continue From TurboTax Online option.
If you use that option, you do have to ''sign in'' to access the return, but you can sign out afterwards.
A note >> If you use the SEARCH 🔍 feature in the desktop software and you are signed in, you will be taken to the TurboTax online digital assistant. But if you are ''signed-out'' - you will get a pop-up to sign-in which you can close to access the software's default SEARCH 🔍 feature without the digital assistant.

Where does it say that? Can you post a screen shot? You can install the Desktop program on 5 computers you own. Since you now have to log into an Intuit Account when you first install it, all your downloads and licenses are listed there (even if you bought it from somewhere else) so if you need to install it again or install on another computer, even on the other operating system (Windows, Mac) you can download it again. And the download will have all the updates. Sign onto your account here to download the program and to get the license code https://accounts.intuit.com/app/account-manager/productsBilling/turbotax How to reinstall Turbo Tax on Windows https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/installing/help/reinstall-turbotax-windows/00/25989 After you get the program reinstalled the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW). Enter some basic information, then go to the state tab and download the state program. Then try to open your existing return, go to FILE - OPEN See this article on how to move your tax return to another computer……. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/tax-data-file/help/how-do-i-move-my-tax-data-file-to-another-computer/00/26128 What I would do is just copy the whole Turbo Tax folder that is under your Documents. That should be where the .tax files and pdf files are stored. Copy that folder to a flash drive or best yet is to burn it to a CD or DVD and then you will have a backup of them. Then on the new computer copy the folder (or files) from the flash drive to your Documents folder. You only need the tax return data file ending in .tax2024 to transfer into 2025. You don't need to install older programs unless you need to amend or you didn't save the pdf file.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.
This will take you back to the 2025 online tax return.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Unfortunately, it did not. I have spent about 2 hours on the phone with 2nd and 3rd level support at this point (I had already filed an extension) and have not had the time to try again. The Review Order screen SHOULD pull up payment information, but it doesn't (because it's already paid for) and never lets me past the screen. I've had similar issues in previous years with desktop if I need to pay to file - no credit card would go through and I'd have to call in (sometimes multiple times) to pay by phone and get a code. I'm beginning to think something is fundamentally wrong with my account - and has been for years - and this year since I'm not able to use the desktop version - I seem to be unable to get past the screen to submit (or even PRINT my taxes to file by mail OR download what's been done even if I could get the desktop version installed on a different machine so I'd have to redo my taxes from scratch). I was hoping that the verbiage "free if filed by April 16" meant I could get through today and nope - I cannot. The 2nd\3rd level support did agree with me that the issue is not on my side (fresh browser, never installed on a different computer, pop ups enabled, 3rd party cookies enabled, no plug-ins and on a VPN so nothing blocked on my house firewall which uses 3rd party block lists and occasionally blocks items from legit websites using 3rd party tools). But I'm still stuck. I need someone to update my account from the backend that I've "reviewed\paid" so I can continue.
