Some states are quick with refunds, some states can take several weeks.  You didn't name the state, so we can only speak in general.   First, you need to be sure your state return was successfully filed.   If you efiled, be sure your efiled state return was accepted.  If you used Online TurboTax, you can check by looking at the Tax Home in your Online account.   Or did you choose to file by mail instead?  TurboTax does not mail it for you.  If you chose that method, you have to print, sign, date, and mail it.   The FAQ below tells how to check on a state refund.   When you scroll down further there, you will see a link for your state to get to its refund lookup tool.   Some state revenue department websites have a FAQ section or info on their refund lookup page that tells about how long it takes in that particular state.   FAQ:  How do I track my state refund? https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_...   After checking all of the above, if your processing is taking longer than the usual time frame for your state, you can phone your state department of revenue's customer service to see if they can tell you the reason for the delay.
Thank you. Where do I enter this expense item (under what heading and in what schedule) so that Turbo Tax does not just ignore it or rejects it?

you should be able to download s/w from your Intuit account under Products and Billing   but since Intuit introduced a license activation server in 2019 they do not support activation of s/w older than 4 years (current tax year + 3 prior years) so you'll probably have issues installing 2019-2021 at this point.  Try it though, others have had an inconsistent experience.  You may encounter a case where Fed will install but you won't be able get the state program and can't open old .tax files without that.   make sure you have the PDF with all forms and worksheets saved as your official record from the old PC and don't rely on being able to run old versions of the s/w and .tax files.

@Thom31 wrote: My Federal return was rejected because of a missing IP Pin. I corrected using TurboTax's step-by-step approach and the Pin shows up when I look at the info worksheet. using Forms    The problem I'm facing is that when I try to transmit the correct filing Turbotax tells me my return wasn't transmitted because it is identical to the 1st return with the missing IP Pin.   So far, Customer Service has not been able to suggest a solution. So is that like a popup--a TurboTax message blocking it?  It sounds like something didn't "reset" and that TurboTax database thinks the first return had already been filed.  I don't know if TurboTax error message is basing that off of your SSN, thinking you successfully submitted the first one, or what.    I don't know if this will change over time if a server has to "catch up" or what.  When you check the efile status inside your desktop software, do it this way (I only have the Windows version so it may be different on Mac) : In the top left corner of the TurboTax interface, click on the FILE menu and in the dropdown choose "Electronic Filing".   Then "check electronic filing status."   How did you get the IP PIN?  Is it a new 6-digit IP PIN received this year either in an IRS letter (such as January) or obtained at your IRS online account (if applicable?)      I'm trying to think of what I might do, and I guess if it were me, I'd start by going to step-by-step and deleting the IP PIN; i.e., answer the question, no that you don't have one (or however it asks.)    Then go to Forms, and on the Info worksheet to be sure it no longer shows up there; i.e., that it's blank.   Then I would save the return and close TurboTax.   Maybe all that would reset something.   Then I would open TurboTax back up and re-enter the IP PIN in step-by-step; you could check Forms again to be sure it shows on the Info worksheet.  Then I'd run the Final Review and error check, and if all appears well, proceed to resubmit the efile.     I don't know if any of that will help.  If it's going by SSN, you might get the same "duplicate return" popup.     Maybe others will chime in with other suggestions.

2025 Turbo Tax has errors in Michigan Form 4884 Worksheet and Form.   I had to manually fill out a paper  Michigan 4884 form to enter the correct information and mail in an amended return.    I only knew there was error in Turbo Tax when the State of Michigan made automated changes to my return and said there were  taxes due additional taxes due.
I was told by the IRS that I should have a paper return this year because of identity theft

TurboTax does not pay your state tax. TurboTax just sends your bank account information to the state. The state takes the payment from your bank account. It can take a few days for them to take the payment, especially if it's scheduled for April 15, since they are obviously very busy at this time.
It is still entered on the Sch E  with income, depreciation and expenses. A rental is a rental.

@ jahouston415 wrote: My Fees for early return and Turbo Tax were taken from my FEDERAL RETURN.  The State of CA released my refund to Cross River bank on 4/14/26 and I DON'T OWE anymore fees.  Who is this Cross River bank and why are they sitting on MY MONEY? (yes, I'm mad - but not at you all.) There are 2 versions of the "up to 5 days early" offer.   A free version to a Credit Karma Money account (explained below) or one with $35 fee to have it go your bank account.   The "up to 5 days early" offer uses a third party bank (commonly Cross River Bank) to first receive the funds from the IRS.  If you paid a $35 fee, then your tax refund goes to the third-party, who then sends the funds to your bank account (or card.)   It's done that way to try to speed up the funds delivery to you, since the IRS itself cannot be "sped up."    Some banks, however, do not allow same-day ACH deposits; some banks take 1-3 days to receive ACH deposits.   So the "up to 5 days early" offer may or may not work in some cases.  In any case, if you paid the $35 fee, and if your funds do not arrive at least 1 day earlier than they would have if they had come directly from the IRS, TurboTax says they will not charge you the $35 fee.  If that happens, watch for any emails.     If you chose the "up to 5 days early" offer with no fee (i.e., if you agreed to set up a Credit Karma Money Account) the funds go to a Credit Karma Money checking account administered by MVB Bank Inc.
