You can view, download, and print your tax returns going back up to 7 years if you filed with TurboTax by following the steps below:
If this is the first time you are logging into your account this year:
Sign in to your TurboTax account and select Continue on the screen showing your prior-year summary. Make sure you're using the same TurboTax account (user ID) as in prior years.
On the second screen showing product and pricing, scroll down and select Your tax returns & documents.
Select the year you want, then select Download/print return (PDF).
If the year you're looking for isn't there, it might be in a different account. Go here to find all of your accounts. One of them should have the return you're looking for.
If you started your 2025 return already:
Select Documents from the menu
Choose the tax year you want
Select Download tax PDF
How do I view, download, or print a prior-year tax return?
If you can't access your account in TurboTax, you can also get a copy or transcript of your return from the IRS. See the link below for more information:

You cannot change the tax year. The current online program is for 2025 only. Only a 2025 return can be prepared online and only a 2025 return can be e-filed.
Online preparation and e-filing for 2022, 2023, and 2024 is permanently closed.
Note: The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac. It cannot be used on a mobile device.
To file a return for a prior tax year
If you need to prepare a return for 2022, 2023, or 2024 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign, and mail the return(s)
https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/
You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.
Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

You may be referring to the six-digit IRS IP PIN which is used for identity protection, which is different than the five-digit pin you create when you sign your tax return.
You may have been asked for an Identity Protection (IP) PIN because you, or a dependent of yours has been identified as a victim of identity theft, or you previously opted into the IRS IP PIN program for enhanced security. If you have been assigned an IP PIN, you must use it, or your return will be rejected.
if the IRS has determined that you are a victim of tax-related identity theft, they will automatically enroll you in the Identity Protection PIN (IP PIN) program. They will mail you a CP01A notice containing a new 6-digit IP PIN. This notice is typically sent every year in December or early January to the address on your last filed tax return.
If you are trying to locate your IP PIN you can sign in to your IRS Online Account using ID.me on the IRS.gov website to retrieve your current IP PIN. Your IP PIN is available through your “Profile” page. Retrieve your identity protection PIN (IP PIN)
Steps to Find Your IP PIN Online
Go to the IRS Get an IP PIN page.
Click Get an IP PIN.
Sign in to your ID.me account (or create a new one, which requires a photo of your government ID and a selfie).
Once verified, navigate to your Profile to view your 6-digit PIN.
Please return to Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.

@ user17737964174 wrote: Same problem. select correct file but a tone happens and it wont import it. Did you read the solutions in this long jumbled thread? The simplest has been to close TurboTax, restart the computer, relaunch TurboTax and try the transfer again, which worked for several Mac users, but it doesn't work for everyone. So several users have reported anecdotes of other methods they got it to work. I suggest reading the thread in reverse order (newest to oldest).

Follow these steps:
Go to Deductions & Credits
Go to Education expenses and Scholarships
Answer the "Did you have educations expenses?" question.
Select the student to whom the education expenses apply to.
Answer whether or not you are working toward a degree.
Note: if you are not working toward a degree, you won't qualify for the AOTC.
Next screen, Select any of the boxes that apply to you.
The next screen is likely what you are referring to. Here you will indicate that you have claimed the AOTC before.
Next screen indicate if you are a full-time, at least half-time, or less than half time student.
Note: If you're less than half-time student, you won't qualify for the AOTC.
Next screen you'll be asked if 2025 is your first year of college, answer accordingly.
Next screen you will enter the number of years you have claimed the Hope Credit and/or the AOTC, answer accordingly.
Next, you will be asked if you received a 1098-T, answer accordingly, and continue to enter the 1098-T information.
Go through the rest of the prompts.
If you answered the questions in the above steps correctly, TurboTax should calculate your AOTC, if you qualify for it and will also let you know if you don't qualify for it.
Here's some helpful links regarding Form 1098-T:
Where do I enter Form 1098-T (Tuition Statement)?
How do I get my 1098-T form?

You can view/print/download a choice of PDFs. To get the larger PDF with the worksheets you have to open your return back up and go to the Print Center as I'll explain in detail below. NOTE: When you open your return back up, do not make any changes in it since it's already been filed. If you later have to amend the return, it has to start off exactly as it was when it was originally filed. Log in and at the Tax Home or in the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents" for 2025, look for a link "Add a State." Click on "Add a State." (you don't really add one. That's just to open your return back up.) After the return interview is open, click in the left menu column on the tab TAX TOOLS, then PRINT CENTER. Then choose "Print, save, view this year's return." The next screen should ask what you want in your PDF: Federal. state, or both (I always save both--just in case) and offer some options: "Just my tax returns", or "include government worksheets (optional)", or "include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional.)" The latter has the most pages. NOTE: Remember all PDF tax documents and tax data files are very sensitive files, since they contain your personal ID info, financial data, and possibly bank account numbers, etc. Be sure to store them safely and securely to guard against computer theft, hacking, etc.
