Rollovers to an IRA are accounted for by entering the Form 1099-R reporting the distribution from the other account. A rollover is not considered to be a contribution to the IRA.
Go to the Deductions and Credits > Retirement and Investments > Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions section of your return and be sure that only contributions that you made yourself have been entered in this section.

DID YOU E-FILE?
Did you e-file? Did you go through all three steps of the FILE section and click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted or rejected your federal e-file. If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.
Check your e-file status:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
What does it say in your account? Does it show that the return was accepted? Or does it say something else---like "rejected," "printed," or "ready to mail?”

I think I solved this. The entry can be deleted on the Federal Carryover Worksheet.

Also, if this is your first time using TurboTax? You need to choose the business version of TurboTax to have the menu for Farm income.

Because your spouse is a part-year resident, Virginia law says that if you file jointly, you must both use Form 760PY (the Part-Year Resident form).
Ensure the dates are correct for residency:
Go to the Personal Info section.
Review your spouse’s residency. Ensure they are marked as Part-Year with their specific dates.
Review your residency. Ensure you are marked as a Full-Year Resident of Virginia. Your residency dates will be Jan 1 – Dec 31.
When you get to the Virginia state interview, the software will ask: "Which form do you want to use?" or "Do you want to file a joint part-year return?"
Select the option to file Jointly on Form 760PY. This will allow you to stay on one return while still identifying you as a resident for the whole year.

I am retired and took a 403(b) distribution to convert/rollover to a Roth IRA. About half of the entire distribution is from my own contributions that have already been taxed by New Jersey. What is form or work-around to reflect only the previously un-taxed distribution by New Jersey

The Form 1040X is scheduled to be available on February 26. The date is subject to change, so check on 2-26 to see if it is ready. Before that, do not change anything at all on your return.

The employer state ID number is blank on my w2 and my state does not have an income tax. The website says "if your state doesn't have an income tax, or if you W-2 doesn't have anything in the local taxes section, it's okay to leave this blank." Why does the website still say it needs this info?

Check your Fidelity the download is only for viewing, the actual files to use in the program wont be ready until march 11 for mine! And I agree, I only use Turbo Tax so the long 1099 misc files are automatically entered into the program! I have Windows 10 PC But needing Windows 11 is a scam between Turbo Tax and Microsoft, I am not going to buy a new PC just to be able to download the program to my computer this year !!
