I should add one more step. AFTER you do the above steps to adjust the NJ 457 and 403b income to only pay the taxable amount, you must then override the NJ wages to subtract out the amount you just added in on the pension worksheet. Otherwise, you will pay tax on the taxable amount of pension AND also pay an additional tax on the full amount of this distribution. Unfortunately, when you do an override in turbotax, you may have to mail in your return.

Hello, I am filing my 2025 return using TurboTax Deluxe Online and I am unable to add my RL-1 slip. Here is my situation: I live in Ontario. I worked part of the year in Québec. Same employer for the full year. I received: One T4 (Ontario portion) One T4 (Québec portion) One RL-1 (Québec) When starting a new return from scratch, I selected that I would enter slips manually and checked T4, T4A, and RL-1 in the Tax Profile section. However: I am never prompted to enter the RL-1. Under Income → T4 – Employment income, I only see options to add T4 slips. There is no option to add RL-1. There is no search RL1 in this version to manually add the form. I recreated three separate returns to ensure I did not skip anything, but the issue persists. Since I am an Ontario resident who worked part of the year in Québec, I need to enter my RL-1 for: Québec income tax deducted RRQ contributions RQAP contributions Currently, there is no way for me to input those amounts, which is affecting my balance owing. Can someone please advise how to manually add an RL-1 slip in TurboTax Online when living in Ontario but working in Québec? Thank you in advance for your help.
No, the property does not qualify as a second home since there is no house on it yet. You can learn more in this IRS article.

CRA Code 15 is very specific: it means that your NETFILE access is restricted. Have you tried Netfile it five times? Unlike a website password lock, a NETFILE Code 15 lock does not automatically reset after 24 hours. It will stay locked until CRA resets it. You must call the CRA General Enquiries line at 1-800-959-8281.   If you haven't used Netfiling in 5 years, make sure your personal information is correct and matches your previous year's NOA. Also, check the NAC (Netfile access code); it is optional and can be removed prior to filing. Give it a try and see how it goes.   Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

@JamesG1,   How in the world is this of any use when TurboTax has completely disabled any form of CSV uploads this year?   There is zero point to having a universal CSV template when TurboTax has completely removed the CSV upload ability entirely.  Or are you saying it’s coming back without saying it? If it is, can you please actually let us know and confirm that the feature is coming back this tax season??

I entered four states that paid me tax-free OID interest totaling $21.18.  TT lumped them together with the State code set as MX (perhaps for Mixed?).  "SmartCheck" rejects MX on the basis that it "is not a valid state ID."  I am ignoring it and hope IRS doesn't reject my return.  This appears to be a bug in the Smart Check code that needs  to be corrected since TT changed the four states to one field as MX and Smart Check doesn't like it.

No. Any income that is required to be reported on your tax return and later causes a tax payment to the IRS, isn't a deductible payment on your tax return.   Example of a deduction: A payment of state or city tax that is being collected for a prior year could be a deduction for itemized deductions.
