Win 10 is a resource hog and by ceasing support MS will drive users of Win 7 on older platforms toward purchasing new hardware in order to run Win 10. My 5-year old laptop won't run Win 10. My choices are to remain with a locked-down Win 7 and if Intuit fails to directly address whether TT for 2019 will run under the Win 7 OS by early January, I'll set up a dual boot of a Linux variant and run TaxAct to file my 2019 taxes. Intuit - please answer the mail!

I purchased Lucent back in 1999, have tracked its cost basis through spin-offs, and acquisition by Alcatel, and then by Nokia. Nokia bought Alcatel-Lucent in 2015 resulting in stock conversion to Nokia stock. In 2016, Nokia purchased the fractional share (9/10) created by the conversion whose cost-basis from my original Lucent buy resulted in a loss of $184.53. I've not received a 1099-B from either Nokia nor Computershare who represented the purchase. Since the fractional Nokia share was a short-term hold, but its cost basis a long-term hold, how is the loss to be reported correctly?
