Hi: I am working on a 2025 return K-1 form with *STMT in box 17 using Turbotax Business edition.  In past years, I have selected code V in box 17 and left the amount blank per posts I saw.  The next screen was for 199A income.  This year, I am taken to "Other Situations" screen.   I.e. Turbotax thinks it is done, but I never got a chance to enter QBI Income or Wages.  Everything I google tells me to do it the way it worked last year, but that is not working now.  HELP!   Terry

Based on what I've researched, I agree with the box 1 number you provided of $283,507.42.  But from what I have researched my taxable value in 2a should be:  Based on the figures provided, the taxable amount to be reported in Box 2a of Form 1099-R is generally calculated by reducing the taxable interest by the Market Value Adjustment (MVA) loss.   Calculated Taxable Amount (Box 2a) Interest Earned: $54,817.19 MVA Loss: -$10,661.90 Box 2a (Taxable Amount): $44,155.29  The figure of $54,817.19 represents the total interest in account the time of distribution.  This value should then be offset by the MVA loss of -$10,661.90 and 2a reported as $44,155.29.   Do you agree?  I appreciate your help. The company I am dealing with has no clue and I have been going back and forth with them since 02/06/26.  I plan on filing a form 4852.

Thanks for the reply. When I enter the stipend as earned income it adds to the amount that was calculated previously on my 1098-T form. So I'm double entering the taxable amount. Is there a way to correct this and still allow for the Roth IRA contribution?

You don't say exactly what your problem is.   Helpful TurboTax Articles: What if I can't import my 1099? How can I fix my 1099 import issue? How do I import my 1099s? How do I enter a large number of stock transactions in TurboTax? If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.   To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings: Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL. Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu. Toggle the switch to ON. Refresh the page and attempt your import again. What do I do when my data isn't imported into TurboTax Desktop even though it says successful import in my browser? If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play: Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements. Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back. Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser.
No. There is 1099-G, MISC, NEC, K, but nothing on LTC.

This is what AI ( artificial intelligence) thru google had to say Carlos,   AI Overview   Yes, the "DRAFT" or "DO NOT FILE" watermark on the TP-726.7 form in TurboTax is the reason you cannot submit your Quebec return. The form is not finalized by Revenue Quebec , and TurboTax locks returns with pending forms to ensure accuracy. You must wait for a software update to remove the watermark before filing.  Once the form is updated and the watermark is gone, you can Netfile your return. Hope AI is right, good luck

Your logic is sound so let's go through what you really need and why. Items sold at a gain for personal use, are taxable. Personal items sold at a loss are not deductible. Business items create a gain or loss regardless. Your car is part personal item and part business item. I am going to assume that you sold the car for less and lost money on the personal side. For the business side:   The percent business use, basis, depreciation and sales price are needed to determine if you have a business gain. Business use percentage: total miles driven for business divided by total miles driven = business percentage for time in service. Your basis: lower of cost or fair market value when converted to business use times the business percentage. Depreciation. The standard mileage rate includes a portion for depreciation.  Use your 2023 business miles x 0.28 (standard mileage of 65.5 cents) Use your 2024 business miles x 0.3 (std is 67 cents per mile) Use your 2025 business miles x 0.31 (70 cents per mile in standard) Total the 3 years of depreciation from the standard mileage rate Sales price is total sale plus expenses x business percentage When you go through your return, you will see the sale on Form 4797 gain in Part III, review lines 19-25 and a loss is reported in Part I (since you held it over 1 year).
