To prepare and file your return for tax year 2025, use this link to log in to your account: https://ww1.2025.ca.turbotaxonline.intuit.com/signin?_swlg=en   If you’re using the online edition of TurboTax, it's possible to delete a return that hasn’t been filed. Returns that have already been filed (either by NETFILE or printed to mail) can't be deleted. Note that when you delete a return, you won't be able to access it again, and we won't be able to retrieve the information for you. The steps below outline how to delete a return for TurboTax Online: Sign in to TurboTax Online for the tax year of the return you’d like to delete Great to see you again! screen, locate the return If the return you want to delete has a trash can beside it: Select the trash can icon When prompted to confirm the deletion, select Delete If there is no trash can beside a return, simply create a new return with any information, and once you have a new return, you can delete the one you want.   Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
Again thank you for the information - I was able to figure this out from the information I found on the TurboTax program.

En date du 8 mars, le seul formulaire qui est encore verrouillé est le TP-726.7 de Revenu Québec pour gains en capital qui empêche la transmission au Qc. Ce formulaire est verrouillé dans TurboImpôt Bureau et TurboImpôt en ligne. Si vous avez besoin de ce formulaire, merci de patienter encore quelques jours.    Merci de choisir TurboImpôtDans TurboImpôt Bureau si les formulaires de gains/pertes en capital ne vous concernent pas, essayez ceci: même pour les déclarations simples, il semble que l'annexe 3, le TP-726.7 et l'annexe L s'ouvrent ou affichent des montants sans que ça vous concerne. Revérifiez ces trois formulaires un par un. Effacez et fermez chaque formulaire.   1- Allez en mode Formulaires et ouvrez l'annexe 3 et vérifiez qu'aucune case n'est cochée pour la vente de la résidence principale 2- Allez dans Édition – Formulaire et effacez le formulaire courant. 3 - Revenez de nouveau à Édition – Formulaire, puis cliquez sur Fermer le formulaire courant 4 - Répétez ces étapes pour le TP-726.7 et l'annexe L 5- Revenez de nouveau à Édition - Formulaire et fermer les formulaire inutilisés.    Sauvegardez votre déclaration, fermez et ouvrez de nouveau votre logiciel en vous assurant que vous êtes administrateur.    Cliquez à droite de l'icon TurboImpôt sur l'ecran de votre bureau ( 1) et cliquez Run as administrator (2).     Si c'est possible, essayez de changer de navigateur pour transmettre au Qc.    Merci de choisir TurboImpôt

This TT question about annuity taxability is my problem: "For the years you received these distributions, was the total amount shown in the form the amount you paid tax on?" The problem is there are several amounts shown on the form 1099-R.    Why not say the box 2a, The Taxable Amount.  Or is the Taxable Amount shown in box 2a the amount you paid tax on?   That would certainly be more clear.    Although since we don't know what goes on behind the scene in terms of the TT calculations it is hard for a TT customer to know for sure the correct answer

This is called a Backdoor Roth contribution.  And you haven't made a mistake in 2025, but it sounds like you did in 2024.   When you put the money in your traditional IRA you are being taxed on it.  You're being taxed on it because you aren't allowed to make a contribution to a traditional IRA.  You also aren't allowed to make a contribution directly to a Roth IRA.     What you are allowed to do is roll money from a traditional IRA into a Roth IRA.  So you put money into the traditional IRA - where you aren't allowed to have it - and then you immediately move it into a Roth.  Now, the balance in your traditional IRA is zero.  You took all of the money out.  And, since you didn't take a deduction for the $7,000 you put into the traditional IRA, you don't owe any tax on it when it moves into the Roth.   This is a very normal thing and you should go back and amend your 2024 return to get your $1600 back.   Here is a nice TurboTax article on Backdoor Roths.

Ça ne fonctionne toujours pas et je commence sérieusement à être découragée de votre logiciel. Chaque année il y a divers problèmes mais je trouve toujours des contournements, mais cette année, ça dépasse la limite de ma patience d'ange. Les formulaires annexe 3, le TP-726.7 sont bien effacés et fermés mais l'annexe L ne ne peux pas j'ai un revenu d'entreprise.  J'ai fait ma révision du logiciel en plus de repasser manuellement tous mes formulaires 3-4 fois et tout est comme d'habitude. Même si j'utilise la version de turbo impôts de bureau, j'ai vidé la cache de mon navigateur par défaut Edge, j'ai aussi vidé celle de Chrome au cas. J'ai exécuté en tant qu'administrateur mais je plante toujours à la toute fin avec le message suivant :    "TurboImpôt a détecté des problèmes qui empêcheront la création du fichier requis pour utiliser le service ImpôtNet Québec. Veuillez contacter le service à la clientèle à TurboImpôt Soutien technique. Tenter de corriger l'erreur ou Imprimer pour envoyer par la poste"   Évidemment je choisis "tenter de corriger l'erreur", mais ça arrête là et me ramène dans mes formulaires. Il manque juste le message "Débrouille toi" 😭   Appeler le soutien technique... ça ne me tente pas vraiment parce que j'ai appelé à mon premier problème qui était l'impossibilité d'enregistrer en PDF le provincial  + le mot "brouillon" dans le tp-80. Ça leur a pris 2 heures connecté à mon ordinateur, avec 2 personnes de niveau 1 et ensuite de niveau 2, pour me dire que le problème était sûrement "mon ordinateur". Elles ne savaient même pas qu'à cette date, avant la dernière mise à jour vos formulaires n'étaient pas prêt !!!    Alors est-ce que quelqu'un peut m'aider, pour vrai, avec ce message d'erreur, svp !   Merci.

In past years, I received a mailed copy of persoanl and Business versions.  I loaded each version into a separate program file and had no problems.  For the 2025 version, I had to use download.  When I downloaded the two versions both installed programs went into the same program file folder.  I have had no problem with personal but I cannot launch business and there is no shortcut to launch it.  So, I need to do 7004s this week and cannot get into the software to do so.

Can I keep using Standard or do I need to Premier?   If I decide to migrate to cloud version (Deluxe/ Premier online) this year, can I automatically import all pre saved info from desktop version last year? Can I use Deluxe instead of Premier online?

I had a similar problem.  I think in RMD window, they are asking what you did NOT take.  Usually, I input my RMD and there is no change in taxes.  This year, the penalty is added.  In fact, I was worried that I had been over paying for years but I went into 2024's return and changed the RMD to zero to see if there was any change in taxes owed. There was not.  TurboTax, please fix this or ask the question differently.

I received two 1099-Rs from Raymond James for the same account number.  Box 1 on each 1099-R has different amounts and box 7 on one has a code distribution code of 7 and the other has a distribution code of Y,7.  The 1099-R with the Y,7 distribution code has the same amount in Box 1 as the QCDs I distributed from this RMD account.   I am not sure how to enter the data in TurboTax since it asks the same questions for the two 1099-Rs, e.g., "I transferred all or part of this money directly to charity", "RMD due by Dec. 31", and "amount donated to charity."

This is how to fix the "Box 17 Code V" error in TurboTax (relating to S-Corp K-1s), you must enter the accompanying Section 199A income/wage data from your statement into the "We need some information about your 199A income" screen. Locate the Statement: Find the supporting statement for your K-1, Box 17, Code V. Enter Details: When in the K-1 entry screen, enter the code V, but leave the dollar amount blank. Putting 0 in this box will often cause an error. Navigate to Section 199A: Proceed through the interview until you reach a page titled "We need some information about your 199A income or loss". Fill in Data: Input the specific income, W-2 wages, and UBIA (Unadjusted Basis Immediately After acquisition) amounts from your statement. You may find this information on your K1: Statement A-QBI pass-through entity reporting. Under QBI or qualified PTP items subject to shareholder-specific determinations: Alternatively, If you have no income to report, you may need to delete the codeV. To get back to the K-1 summary screen and find the Schedule K-1 to edit, click the "magnifying glass Search" icon on the top row, enter "K-1" in the search window and press return or enter, and then click on the "Jump to K-1" link to find the K-1 you need to edit.
Sorry, no. In TurboTax Online all changes are saved immediately and permanently. There is no backout or undo. There is no way to retrieve something that you deleted.
