Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.  Some states process returns quickly and some are very slow.   STATE RETURN Make sure your state return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   To track your state refund:       ttps://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0

Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday   TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

Hi Intuit, Given it has been 6+ weeks that this form was finalized by Quebec, it shows that your company is not putting the basic effort to update your software in a decent fashion and that the Quebec market is not important to you. This is terrible customer service and I will stop using your software after 15+ years. Your neglect slowness is costing me time and money which is the opposite of why I paid good money for your product.

I went back and read the tax expert.  Use that advice.  She does explain how it needs to be done in other loss common business situations.  I also see she says you have to say yes to converting it to personal, so don't listen to what i said there. She also explains how to figure out what your vehicle is worth.  I do know i did not do it after I put the miles in, for some reason that will not remove it from your taxes. I really don't think that is where you should be putting that information in.  Sorry I'm not more help but DianeW777 at the beginning does give it step by step and explains it very well.
Thank you for taking the time to help me! I appreciate it.

Odd. I'm still getting the following message when I try to "fix" the filing:   This return cannot be filed at this time due to a processing error that will be corrected on March 13, 2026. On or after this date, open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing.

Either is fine.  It really just depends on your book keeping.  As Diane mentioned, if you use the inventory section, you would need to know your beginning and ending inventory amounts.  If you are tracking inventory, then you can enter it as Costs of Goods Sold>>Inventory.   If you enter it as Supplies, you will just be tracking your purchases throughout the year and entering the total amount of purchases.     If this is your first year in business, how have you tracked your inventory?  The Cash method tends to be less cumbersome for people and it allows you to deduct your outflows of cash when you actually spend it instead of waiting until the inventory is used up to deduct it.
I've spoken to Turbo Tax reps twice and was told that it would be available on certain dates but they've passed and there's still no option.

I had four 1099-R distributions which should have been summed up in the "Federal" column of the NJ Non-Resident return on line 22.  They are all listed on the Pension worksheet.  However, line 22 only grabbed the last entry rather than the sum.  That means that the calculated percentage of income earned in New Jersey (where I have a part time job) was too high.  Please check and see if this is a known issue.  Thank you.

@stevejdale  Box #1 (Total GST/HST collected): Enter the actual 13% you charged your clients.   Box #2 (Eligible GST/HST): Usually the same as Box #1. This confirms how much of your income qualifies for the Quick Method.   Box #3 (GST/HST remitted): Enter the calculated amount you actually paid to the CRA (Gross Revenue × 8.8% minus the 1% credit).   Regarding ITCs: Do not deduct ITCs from these boxes. Under the Quick Method, you only claim ITCs for Capital Assets (e.g., equipment/laptops). These are claimed separately in the CCA (Capital Cost Allowance) section of TurboTax, not here.   Hope this helps!

After efiling, TTax sent me the screen below. The price was not described and because of that I didn't go for it and had questions. What is the cost? If I file two returns, does each get Free Audit Defense? If I file two returns, is each return entitled to a state efile discount? The cost of additional efiling seems really marked up. Are there alternatives for efiling elsewhere?
