For DEX crypto transactions that have no 1099-DA, what is the workflow in Turbotax, i.e., how is one to initiate dialog on Turbotax to enter these transactions? For e.g., if I go to Wages & Income, then under Investment Income, I click Update next to "Stocks, Cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other", it takes me to the investments sections where I have already added interest, dividend and several 1099-B's and 1099-DA's. I click on Add Investments, and then I Skip Import and I land on the page where it has 5 options to select from: (1) Interest 1099-INT, (2) Dividend 1099-DIV, (3) Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds 1099-B (4) Digital Assets 1099-DA (5) Other. Once I select Digital Assets 1099-DA, it takes me to the next page Let's get started typing in your digital asset info, and the very first field is Digital asset service/filer under Tell us, where you got your from or file. You cannot leave the field blank as it won't allow you to go to the next page. So what do you put in here if you did not get a 1099-DA given that these transactions are from a DEX? Thanks in Advance!

Other taxes could be any of the following: Self-Employment tax Unreported SS & Medicare tax 10% Early Distribution of Retirement plans penalty Advance EIC from W-2 Household Employment tax Etc.   Like some could be for State and local taxes paid... -any state withholding from your paychecks, retirement checks, unemployment checks, etc. -a state tax due (for any year) you paid last year -any state estimated tax payments you made during year including an overpayment applied from last year -any local taxes withheld on your checks like SDI in box 14 or 19 on your W2 You might be able to click on the amount and see. If you are looking at a review or summary screen, those lump a lot of stuff together. So look at the actual 1040 return and actual schedules and make sure they are correct.

Dependents are entered in MY INFO.   Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number.    Careful— do not say that your child’s SSN is not valid for employment.  If your child was born in 2025 make sure you said he lived with you the whole year.  There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support.  Say NO to that question.   If your dependent was a full-time college student, make sure you were careful on the MY INFO screen for “Uncommon situations” and that you indicated there that they were a student.   Am I Head of Household?   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-filing-status/qualify-head-household-2021/L0NxUtVc2_US_en_US?uid=m5x19jkx https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-filing-status/qualifying-person-head-household/L2TmgztNs_US_en_US   If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.

I was completing my return.  It has 3 1099-Rs.  The first 2 are from the same institution, one for my wife and one for myself.  The bug shows up after I completed everything all the way through fed and state, verified, checked not errors or incomplete(s), ready to e-file.  I saved the file, exited and reloaded.  To my surprise the amount I owed changed significantly.  I tracked it down to the 1099-Rs.  When the file was saved.  It changed the entry for the first 1099 -R for my wife Box 1 gross distribution to be the total of my wife 1099-R and my 1099-R for the same institution.  In order to continue filing I must correct this now each time the return is loaded before continuing.
Following. This is an issue for us as well.

I completed non-resident state, MA, first. I was able to exclude NJ income correctly. But NJ return does not allow me to exclude MA income.

Greetings,  I imported my 1099s from Schwab and E*trade.  Then when it decides to check if things need fixing it refused to allow me to move forward. So I had to enter work sheet.  And I submitted the taxes.  Problem is it has a double entry now and my refund is smaller because the bug forced me to double enter. Schedule B  twice. CHARLES SCHWAB & CO., INC. 846.79 CHARLES SCHWAB & CO., INC. 846.79 Add the amounts on line 5. Enter the total here and on Form 1040 or 1040-SR, line 3b  1,693.58 This is wrong. Very, very annoyed. It sent it off and then my state taxes are also wrong. Mike
