It never should have been this difficult. I completely agree with you that this has been ridiculous and incredibly frustrating. I really appreciate your persistence in pushing for answers to get this resolved.   Between your experience and mine, this has been exhausting. Because of the impact this issue had — including delaying my refund and triggering a manual review by the State — I felt it was necessary to escalate the matter through formal complaint channels. After that, I received outreach from the Office of the President Escalations Department.   At that point, everything had already been documented, and there wasn’t much more to add. What concerns me most is that this appears to be a programming issue affecting multiple people. I genuinely hope TurboTax addresses it so others don’t have to go through the same thing.
J'aimerais une date, ou une explication. On devrait indiquer que les formulaires ne sont pas prêts AVANT de faire payer pour le logiciel.

California does not allow bonus depreciation.  If at any point in the life of the assets you are depreciating you took bonus depreciation then the California depreciation is different because you are required to depreciate your asset over a longer period and the TurboTax system has calculated that for you.
After reading this thread, I emailed customer service and received a refund for the upgrade fee.

Many government and private agencies are switching to paperless this year. Instead of mailing statements, they expect retirees to log into their website and obtain the information from the website. As a result, here is information you may use to access your 1099 R information.   OPM has a tool that lets you request a download link for your 1099-R—no password or full account needed.   Go to: servicesonline.opm.gov/1099-request  What you need: Your CSA/CSF Claim Number and your ZIP code.  You enter your info, and they will email you a secure link to download and print the form. If you cannot access a computer or the online tool isn't working, you can call OPM’s Retirement Services.at Phone: 1-888-767-6738,  Monday – Friday, 7:40 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. You may experience long wait times if you call. you may need your CSA/CSF Claim Number. Your claim number starts with CSA or CSF followed by 7 digits. You can find it on your retirement card, your initial welcome letter, or any previous annuity statements.   You can mail in a request to have your 1099 R sent to you but this could be a tedious process, especially if you don't receive your 1099R by April 15. The address is:   U.S. Office of Personnel Management Retirement Operations Center Post Office Box 45  Boyers, PA 16017    Include these details in your letter so they can locate your file and send the form to the right address.   Your Full Name (as it appears on your retirement records).  Your CSA or CSF Claim Number (this is vital). Your Date of Birth. Your Current Mailing Address (if it has changed recently, clearly state that this is a new address). Your Phone Number (in case they have questions). Your Signature. @judybyrnes

Have TT Deluxe installed on Windows11.    Entering 1099-R data, towards end of entry TT determines it needs to ask more questions. One of which is this one:  Annuity Information: For the years XXXX received these distributions, was the total amount shown in the form the amount you paid tax on? Total amount taxable:  Yes   No   Which Box on the form is TT asking about?  Box 1 (Gross Distribution)? or Box 2a (Taxable Amount)? There are values in both. TT is not clear on what constitutes Total Amount.   Thanks!

@TaxPlethora ,  (a) first , the Box 1a heading on the form 1099-DIV has a problem  ( IMHO) -- it says  "Total Ordinary  Dividends ".  It should say  "Total Dividends " .   I say this because Box 1b amount is a subset of Box 1a i.e. of the total dividend income reported in Box 1a,  the amount reported in Box 1b is qualified dividend. (b) I am not sure I understand  your issue ( and/or why Turbo is complaining ).  What I would expect  ( for example :(                Box 1a ---- 1000,  of which  1000* .95 = 950 is foreign source  ( Total ) dividend income                Box  1b ---- 1000  ( all dividend is qualified )  of which  1000 *  .80 = 800 is foreign qualified   dividend. To  me this implies     World  dividend income  is  $1000 ----- Foreign Source  dividend income (RIC ) is  $950                                        World  Qualified Dividend  is $1000 ----- Foreign Source Qualified  income is $800                                                                                              ---------------Foreign Taxes paid ( RIC) ------ amount in Box 7 Am I missing something here ?   If I am,  tell me more , please.

Intuit customer service is a joke. "Clear your cache?" Numerous people have been reporting this issue over the course of days. You can see multiple posts recently on the discussion. I've personally tried 4 different browsers on 3 different devices. And being outside of the country, turbo tax customer service won't recognize an international phone number as "valid" to connect with anyone for further assistance. The fact I paid to file, and now am unable to, is infuriating. After being a customer for 7 years, this experience may turn me away for good.
