In TurboTax Online, charitable donations typically flow from your federal return to the Massachusetts state return automatically if applicable for 2023 and later. You can check this by going to the State Taxes tab, then selecting Massachusetts. Look for the section labeled Adjustments or Part B, where those amounts will be reflected. If you want to confirm the amount or make manual entries, check the Deductions & Credits under the Massachusetts state section. If your donations are reported correctly on the federal side, TurboTax usually transfers the amounts you need for Massachusetts automatically to meet filing requirements.

I'm sorry for the loss in your family this year. Both ordinary income from business (Box 1) and other income from business (Box 11) wind up on your Schedule C as QBI, so it seems that everything is calculating correctly per your tax return input. As for the treatment of the income at the partner level (flowing it thru Box 11, rather than Box 1), unfortunately, you would have to reach out to the partnership accountant and tax preparer to get an answer about this information; there are a lot of complications when a partner is no longer in the partnership, and it depends on what has happened previously with the business activity.

My last follow-up post got deleted, maybe because I mentioned the possibility of changing to a competitor which I named. I am very disappointed that Support has a bias -- the bias is that TurboTax Online software is perfect, so any problem must be user error. When someone reports a bug in the software, it seems to be ignored. No one from software development has posted anything helpful here. A person can waste hours and hours on the phone trying to get a bug fixed, but the bias is that there is no bug, the software is perfect, I'm just not holding my mouth right. The truth is that TurboTax Online does not know how to handle a simple Recharacterization of Contribution, which is a trustee-to-trustee transfer from a Traditional IRA to a Roth IRA. Pursuant to IRS Reg. 1.408A-5, this contribution is treated as having been made to the Roth IRA on the original date of the contribution to the Traditional IRA. There is no change in tax owed if the original contribution was not deductible. It's simple, a piece of cake, but TurboTax can't handle it. Next step: File a 1040-X myself, manually, without TurboTax, and claim a refund of tax preparation fees under the Maximum Savings Guarantee, for lack of "100% accurate calculations."

This usually happens when your residency dates or state allocation weren’t entered correctly in the state interview.
In TurboTax, go back to the “My Info” section, scroll down to Other State Income, and confirm your move date (01/30/2025). Make sure both Pennsylvania and South Carolina are marked as part-year resident states, then revisit each state return to allocate income based on when it was earned.

@robmtk For NY?? NY is particularly picky about having a value in box 16 of the software...even if it is empty on your actual 1099-R.. To fix it to satisfy NY, if box 2a has a non-zero value in it (larger than box 14) enter that in box 16....otherwise place the box 1 value in box 16.

Your approach to calculating the portion of your interest taxable by New York is correct. In fact, it's probably more detailed than what is expected/required by the New York Department of Taxation and Finance. Unless the amounts were very large, applying the percentage of days in the period to the interest paid would have been an acceptable way to calculate the NY portion.

Form 3468 (Investment Credit) in TurboTax generally can be removed unless it is linked to other entries or credits that depend on it. For example, if you have entered information that claims investment credits or related carryovers, the form might be required to complete your return accurately. If TurboTax prevents removal, it may be because the form is needed to support other deductions or credits you claimed elsewhere in your return.
To delete Form 3468 in TurboTax Online, follow these steps: 1. Open or continue your tax return. 2. In the left menu, select Tax Tools and then Tools. 3. Choose Delete a form from the Tool Center pop-up. 4. Find Form 3468 in the list of forms. 5. Select Delete next to Form 3468 and confirm the deletion. If Form 3468 reappears, review your answers about investment credits to ensure none require the form.

My advice would be to calculate the home office property taxes yourself and then enter that as a direct expense for your home office. On Deductions for Schedule A, enter the difference, only the home space percentage. This should eliminate the duplication and show the correct amounts of real estate taxes in each section.
If you need further assistance please update here with details and we will help.

Note that you have the option to answer "No" to the Safe Harbor question. You will then be asked if your rental is considered a trade or business. If you answer Yes to this question, the rental income will be included in the QBI calculation.
As Expert DanielV01 mentioned, "While the IRS can certainly question any claim regarding QBID, in general, the more "profit-motive" is shown in the enterprise, the more likely that the enterprise will be allowed for the Section 199A deduction. This is especially so with regards to rental income to determine if such rises to the level of a business per Section 162 of the tax code. (The preceding statement is tax advice and not legal advice)."
If you decide to use the Safe Harbor election, your best option is to contact the management company and explain what you need. While there may not be a standard name for the report, they should be aware of the IRS requirement to document their work for your rental property.
To add the Annual Election Statement to your return, you would need to transfer your TurboTax Online return to TurboTax Desktop. (TurboTax Online does not support creating attachments.) See the instructions here: How do I switch from TurboTax Online to the TurboTax software?
Once you have switched to TurboTax Desktop, open your return and click the Forms icon in the TurboTax header. In the left column, click Open Form, then type in "Blank Form." Click on the form to open it in the large window. You can now type in the statement you need to include with your return, per Mike9241's previous post.
