So now you're saying earliest date is Feb 19th.  And I bet nobody is working on the fix this weekend.
It said it got my data. But when I went back using Turbotax, it didn't import anything.

Hi I have been waiting patiently for this update to file my tax return. Please provide a firm, RELIABLE update on when form 4562 for Schedule E (rental property) will be available.  IRS website shows the updated 4562 released on Jan 26 (nearly 20 days ago!).  I had called TT customer service on Thursday (Feb 12) and was told it will be active by Feb 13th which turned out to be untrue.  Look forward to a firm date please.
If Medicare is being deducted from the SS benefits, it will be shown in that big box on the left side of the SSA1099 that says "Description of Amount in Box 3" just below box 3.

Form 4562 is available, however the rental section depreciation area is still in process.   It is expected to be available next week with the end of the week updates (usually overnight Thursday), so please check back at the end of next week.     We understand the importance of these forms, and the developers are working hard to roll out the updates.
Yes, you can just enter the amount in the box- this information is not actually reported to the IRS, so as long as you correctly identify that, you will have the correct amounts on your tax return.

sorry to hear that.   The other thing I forgot to mention was that once that screen showed up, the inputs did reduce the taxable portion of the 529 withdrawals to the correct value and that value did get passed over to my state income tax return.

If you originally prepared your tax return using TurboTax, you can amend it by logging into your account, opening the filed return, and clicking the link amend your return. The software will guide you through the necessary steps.   Important Note: The current version of TurboTax doesn't allow deductions for tips on overtime if those tips weren't reported on Form W-2, 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, or 1099-K.   If this applies to your situation, I recommend waiting for a software update before filing your amendment. Otherwise, you may proceed with the amendment steps outlined above.   @patti6466

@ReachELS @Tonyngo23 @Bmall @DianeW777 @knapphome2003  @LeticiaF1    I logged onto Turbo Tax this morning - clicked "fix my return" and was led to a final review page (software did NOT run me through the form 5695 like on prior attempts) After about 6 screens I was brought to a submit page and submitted my return   About 30 minutes later I received "the IRS has ACCPETED your return"   So it appears like whatever Turbo Tax did on their end, worked for me in this case   I appreciate everyone's help, input and conversation regarding this. Stay safe out there.    -Hunter

If it helps, I am withing the allowed time window for amending, and also my earlier 2024 return was already accepted. hence amending should be allowed.
I don't believe a thing you say. Feb 13, and after ..is now after and now another week for a single form to be updated. Worst management ever.

The Form 1040-X for amending a 2025 federal tax return is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 02/19/2026   An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return. Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
