To apply your state refund to next year, enter it under State Taxes tab And keep continuing and stepping through the interview about a dozen or more screens and it will finally ask how much you want to apply. It is probably one of the last questions in the state section.

Per Wisconsin Statute 71.07(9)(a)4, Lot Rent is eligible for the Renters School Property Tax Credit if the rented property is subject to Wisconsin property tax. "Rent constituting property taxes” means 25 percent of rent if heat is not included, or 20 percent of rent if heat is included, paid during the taxable year for which credit is claimed under this subsection, at arm’s length, for the use of a principal dwelling and contiguous land, excluding any payment for domestic, food, medical or other services which are unrelated to use of the dwelling as housing, less any rent paid that is properly includable as a trade or business expense under the internal revenue code. “Rent” includes space rental paid to a landlord for parking a mobile home or manufactured home. Rent shall be apportioned among the occupants of a principal dwelling according to their respective contribution to the total amount of rent paid. “Rent” does not include rent paid for the use of housing which was exempt from property taxation, except housing for which payments in lieu of taxes were made under s. 66.1201 (22)."

They can be deductible. Use taxes are treated as sales taxes, so they are deductible if you itemize and choose the sales tax deduction instead of the state and local tax (SALT) deduction. If you're itemizing, you get to choose between deducting your state and local income taxes or your state and local sales taxes. You can't claim both, and you can't claim either one if you're taking the Standard Deduction. Where do I enter my sales taxes paid?
Generally, you can deduct the actual state and local general sales taxes (including compensating use taxes) you paid in 2025 if the tax rate was the same as the general sales tax rate. See Schedule A instructions
You can find the entry in the Deductions & Credits section >> Estimates and Other Taxes Paid >> Sales Tax

Normally you would find state depreciation entries in the state section of TurboTax. Without knowing which state you are filing for, I can't be more specific than to encourage you to go back and review your state entries and look for a reference to the rental property sale. If that is not helpful, you can try reviewing your asset sale entries in the federal section of TurboTax. You would report the sale of rental property in the federal section of TurboTax. You need to go to the asset entry screen where you indicated that you sold the property and then entered the sales proceeds and any costs of sale. You can try updating that section and look for the errant entry. You would do that by going to the rental section of TurboTax and updating the rental income and expenses. You will need to find the Review your (name of rental) Rental Summary screen. Choose the option that says Sale of Property/Depreciation and update that section as needed.

I received the following error when efiling a trust return. This is the first time I've had this. Do I just need to wait for an update like it says? Or is there something else I could do proactively? Let's Take a Look at Your Return Description of error: Form 1116 present in the return, then at least one of the following: If there is only one instance of Form 1116 present in the return, then at least one of the following must have a value within it: 'ForeignIncomeSection951ACrAmt' or 'ForeignBranchIncomeCrAmt' or 'ForeignPassiveIncTaxCreditAmt' or 'ForeignGeneralIncTaxCreditAmt' or 'ForeignIncSection901jCrAmt' or 'ForeignIncomeRsrcdTreatyCrAmt' or 'ForeignIncLumpSumDistribCrAmt' or 'TentativeForeignTaxCreditAmt'. What needs to be done: This electronic filing reject is the result of a defect in the tax program. This reject will be corrected in a future electronic release.

This is not a TurboTax specific issue but an issue that can occur when you import multiple statements from the same source. If you have a single broker for multiple accounts, when selecting to import another account for the same broker:
Clear cache and cookies and then search for your broker. This should allow the screen to input account information and import the data.
If you get two accounts / statements close to the same time, log out of the brokerage site after importing the first one and wait to start another import session.
