If you selected Paid for more than half of their living expenses and other support on the screen labeled Less common situations Then you indicated that the Child paid for more than half of their support, NOT you. Go back edit the dependent section and remove that check box.

I am trying to amend and e-file my 2024 taxes (Fed & NY) which were originally e-filed using the TurboTax desktop (downloaded) TY2024 version on Windows. Like others, I’m encountering the invalid “Correct Your Signature Date” issue which prevents e-filing. Manually filing requires lots of paper, postage, and incurs significantly more delay in processing by the IRS. 2025 update. This problem is preventing me from e-filing my amended 2024 return, even though TT says you should be able to do it this year. I called their Resource Desk, who were clueless but said they would "escalate it." They also said wait for updates 🤣. You can't e-file till Jan 26, so I will try again then but I doubt that's the problem. It appears to be a software glitch. Does anyone know of any tax software that allows you to e-file an amended return? But, even if there is, I guess we would have to enter the original return and the amended return? That would be a lot of work. Thanks, TT!

My friend is trying to make an account and keeps getting the message "your request couldn't be processed, for help reference code 25625". We tried multiple email adresses and multiple phone numbers. Tried from 3 different browsers both on regular and incognito mode. Then we tried switching between different mobile devices and laptops. We tried from different wifi connections as well as mobile data. We also tried from a different country and nothing works. Could you contact me and help me with the issue. I am not in the US so I can't call you but I would be able to email you if you give me a way to reach you.

This is what I'm finding.
You can turn off the "opt-in" 2-step verification and switch to an authenticator, but you cannot completely remove a phone number from your account's "Multi-Factor Authentication" (MFA) safety net.
If you are already logged into TurboTax:
Look at the sidebar menu on the left (you may need to scroll down).
Select Intuit Account.
On the "Welcome" screen, select Sign-in & security.
Find the section labeled 2-step verification.
Toggle the switch to Off.
Enter your password to confirm. This stops the "every time" login codes.
To switch to an Authenticator App (like Google Authenticator or Authy).
In the same Sign-in & security menu, select Authenticator.
Follow the prompts to set up your app.
Once the app is verified, it becomes your primary way to get codes, effectively "removing" the phone number's role in the 2FA process.

Where did you see that? Yes you get it when itemizing too. But There is a max. The phaseout is 6% of the amount by which MAGI exceeds $75,000 for single or $150,000 for married filing jointly (MFJ). I’ll look for the IRS info on it. The 6,000/12,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. It is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. Turbo Tax automatically includes it if you qualify. 1040 Schedule 1-A, page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040s1a.pdf
